I went up Letcliffe today in the sunshine with the birds singing and only a light breeze from the NW to spoil things so I decided you were right and it's probably about time we started to be optimistic.  However.....  have you seen the forecast for Easter?

Forecaster on R4 has just said it is the coldest summer since 1991 and that's an average including the south so we aren't imagining things.....

13C today with sun, actually managed to get a load of towels dry.
Tonight 3C - coldest yet  (we'll have to rug up to go to bed), and 14C for Thursday.

No sun, no wind, just cloud cover and muggy.

Very muggy amd overcast outside. Despite it being very close I slept surprisingly well and missed the power cut that must have happened at about 3,30am given the time my electric clock was flashing at.

26C and sunny in Normandie just waiting for us to arrive on Saturday. I wonder how fast the rabbits are where we are going as Misty is on fine form with every chance of catching a few given her recent practice with squirrels!! Nolic

Quite cold this morning....I was outside doing some gardening by 8am and my hands were getting frost bite (despite gardening gloves) as I pulled weeds out. Half hour later, I was warm as toast and had pulled the jumper off also. I think it is only cold if you sit still....
(came in and had a lovely warm bath after about 3 hours solid work)
I dare anyone to find a weed in my garden!

I did a bit of gentle weeding as well Maz.  I keep on top of them and like you, I defy anyone to find a weed!

Is it me or is it hot in here? Despite being very grey and overcast there is so much moisture in the hot air that it is sitting on my skin like a wet towel!

No wonder Marilyn's hands were freezing this morning ... it was only 2C at that time.  (I was still in bed and oblivious to the outside conditions - no guilt.)     Turned out to be a lovely day.  5C tonight, 16C tomorrow.  Smile

It has gradually brightened during the afternoon and we now have an evening of full sun.

We had the sun breaking through at about 3.00pm, shortly followed by a couple of rain showers. Very nice now though. Nolic

The sun has broken through the murk earlier today.  Still a milky sky but very pleasant outside now.  That's the good news, the bad is that the glass is falling.......
