Not a pair of gloves or hand cleaner in sight. I did this, this morning at the U3A Art group that Wendy runs.

I know the mouth is a funny shape but otherwise I am quite pleased with this as I could never draw animals of any sort. Last time I tried a cat it looked like a RAT!!

I will relay the info to Wendy. Her husband Keith has offered to take and fetch us so I don't have to panic about your track Wendy. Thanks for the comment abouit the cat. It got a vote in the Todmorden Art exhibition , but I didn't manage to sell it.

Well, it has been pretty foul up here today and the rain is lashing down at the moment. If you check in here before you leave home tomorrow I will let you know if the rain has turned to snow!

Good luck ladies. Not a good day for plein air painting. The weather is foul but I'll watch out for you on my way back from taking Charlotte to Baildon. Nolic

It is still wet and wild, and just above 3C, with a hint of a snow shower threatened for later on this afternoon. I will light the fire and put the kettle on.....wrap up warm!
Pop in if you are passing this way Nolic.
It has just started sleeting....

Windy, it looked a bit gloomy over Blacklane Ends so I came back over Little Moss. Weather was quite nice in Baildon. Nolic

Glad it went well, despite the weather.

I spent yesterday painting and have been back at it this morning...outside in the brilliant sunshine...clad in shorts and a rather grubby paint-splattered T-shirt.
I am repainting a six panelled mural that hangs against the wall in our courtyard (have been wanting to do it for ages but finally got the nod from Febby at lunchtime yesterday as he kept claiming he was happy with the old scene. So I loaded him straight in the car and we were off to buy paints, before he could change his mind!)
Just an awful lot of prep/undercoating/preparing surfaces so far, but that is almost dry (thanks to the weather) and I can begin the fun part.
As inspiration, I am gathering ideas from photos taken around Pendle in 2009. Got some great shots of countryside and farmland with far reaching views. Most have the beautiful stone walls that I adore so much, and I can't think of a nicer scene to look out on as I do the dishes (kitchen overlooks courtyard via floor to ceiling glass).
(I have a back-up plan if I muff it up!)

That sounds like a lovely idea..and I'm sure you won't "muff it up" show us a pic when it's finished.

Sounds like an exciting project Maz.
Thank you for an enjoyable day, it was good to see you all again. Glad everyone got home safe & sound. The snow started just before 8pm, and we have about an inch this morning.

About an inch of snow hear too plus ice underneath. Not nice. I have cancelled going to aquafit as i think the carpark at the pool will be treacherous. I will do the ironing instead and then have a go at uploading my photos from yesterday
