I went up Letcliffe today in the sunshine with the birds singing and only a light breeze from the NW to spoil things so I decided you were right and it's probably about time we started to be optimistic. However..... have you seen the forecast for Easter?

Lovely here at the moment - but dark clouds threatening rain.

Every time I see one of Ringo's posts I see his temperature read-out - at the moment (11.00am) it's saying 14C (57F). Is he in Barlick? Or more relevant, is his thermometer in Barlick? If so, is it in his chilled wine cellar?

Just come back from a fortnight in Scotland, it rained everyday bar two, and when I say rained I mean continual downpour form morning to night and all through the night, came home with tons of washing, and it has poured for the three days we've been home. fed up or what!?

Hello Belle! I wondered why there were no posts from you. It was only yesterday that Julie from Norfolk picked me up on something I said and I wondered "Where's Belle?" I'll start watching my Ps and Qs now (only joking!)
If it's any consolation the weather has been atrocious here in Somerset too.

I can hear his knees knocking from here. Sorry the holiday was spoiled Belle. Little doubt that this is one of the lousiest summers on record. Could we have a nice balmy Autumn? Only a fortnight and we are into September...... season of mists and mellow fruitfulness.

Spent yesterday ducking in an out of shops and buildings avoiding torrential downpours! One poor guy in Norwich had rain running in though his front door, through his house and out through the back. Apparently this is not the first time it had happened either, it happend 43 years ago as well!
Talk about lightening striking the same place twice.

After the start to the morning up here, looks like we will soon be moving to Autum rather than Spring and Summer !!! Lovely morning that Autum coolness.

I fear you're right Frank. Its raining gently here, glass is rising a bit but it's cool outside.

Mine called it 'mizzle' - miserable again - supposed to be nice tomorrow, then a lousy weekend - nothing new there.

It's so cold during the night here at the moment, I have a pair fleecy lined gloves on my bedside table, just incase i feel like exposing myself and staying warm at the same time ...
All thru the fields and meadows gay .... Enjoy Take Care...Cathy |

There are just so many ways to imagine what you are saying....
(but I take it you want to keep your hands warm should you wish to hang 'em out of bed? I don't think I would have the mental capacity to reach over and put gloves on if I was asleep! But I relate to the overheating problem because I am a 'foot hanger'. They are always dangling to keep me cool... Other possibilities are that you stand before a lighted window wearing nowt but gloves...hence 'exposing' yourself? Or....nah...won't go there...)
