A great night for stargazing. Cold, still & clear, with masses of twinkling things up there. I wish I knew more about them, where is Brian Cox when you need him?

Cold, frosty, been a very light shower of snow during the night. Glass almost up to 29". Lots of rain coming in and in some places it will be snow. I noticed yesterday from Letcliffe that all the high ground in the Dales is snow-covered again.

Snow turned back to rain over here in Nelson. Going quite slushy this evening.

Snowed lightly but steadily all day, about 3". It became cold rain in the evening and this morning it's all gone here in the town. Fells warmer but glass has fallen after a brief rise. It's even lower this morning, 28.3" Just popped me head out to put a milk container in the recycling bin and we have heavy cold rain coming straight down. Good writing weather!

No rain here, but hubby said it was pouring down at 6am. Bright and sunny and no sign of snow on the hills.

Moh, It must have rained much harder than I thought on Friday night, Butts Beck was very high and discoloured yesterday morning.

Cold and damp at the moment but no rain. Glass is dodging about a bit but still down on Stormy.

Strange week-end weather wise.  Warm, cool, few drops of rain, and oh the wind, so much wind.  Makes it tricky trying to stay asleep.  I have a side gate that often squeaks in the wind, thinking of going out there and putting a wet sponge where it closes and maybe when it dries the gate will stay still... ??
Our week looks reasonable, nothing over 30C. Smile
