I went up Letcliffe today in the sunshine with the birds singing and only a light breeze from the NW to spoil things so I decided you were right and it's probably about time we started to be optimistic.  However.....  have you seen the forecast for Easter?

Not too bad here todat, didn't rain everso and the temp seemed to be just over 20. That'll do.

We had a cool day.  Longest day today and it looks like rain.

Pouring with rain here and not warm.  Not looking too promising for the summer solstice charity walk around Blackburn I am supposed to be doing tonight - 10PM start - 12.5 miles in the pouring rain - does NOT sound like much fun !!

Yesterday was pure lousy weather, I felt sorry for anyone connected with the Town Square events, all that work and such terrible weather.  Today doesn't look a lot better, we are forecast to have gales and bursts of heavy rain......  Summer......?

Lovely sight this morning. Dropped C off at Morrisons and coming back looked over Pendle. Hill was covered in cloud shadow apart fronm a wide swathe of sunlight that was a gap in the fast moving clouds. It moved right across the side of the hill in a matter of  seconds but lit the old girl in differing shades of light green and yellow. Superb to watch. Nolic

It got to 15C today with intermittent showers, it was overcast and chilly.  The week should reach 17C, with more of the same conditions.  The sun WILL shine at some stage.  Smile

Strong damaging winds and low temperatures yesterday.  Branches blown out of trees on the old sidings and wheelie bins blown over.  This cat had the right idea, not a bad place to be.......

I saw a wonderful artistic view yesterday, but didn't have my camera. We were driving over Owd Betts, Rochdale and the new  wind turbines on Scout moor were standing proud, stark white against the black  background of the sky with their feet swathed in the green of the fields

I like wind turbines.........  I was thinking about the branches blown out of the trees on the old sidings as I walked up Letcliffe today and noted the damage up there.  I wonder whether the felling of the big horse chestnuts over the road  has deprived the trees on the sidings of some of the protection they used to have from a west wind?
