Try exiting Oneguy and find it on Google.  Once you've found the home page, bookmark it and use it without OG being open.  That might cure the problem.

I've tried various ways to get in, all with the same result. The only way is to go into the forum index and look at the individual topics.
It looks like the problem was first flagged up over a year ago, when Mel posted a picture to try and show what happens.
I'm using Vista and Internet Explorer, so a very normal set up.

I had a look into this and whilst it works perfectly on my 'wierd' system of Ubuntu Linux and Firefox it definitely screws up on XP and IE7.  Since Vista uses IE7 it would seem likely IE7 doesn't like it.  Stanley runs Windows 2000 and it can't run better than IE6.

It would seem there is a compatibility problem with the frames and IE7. Clicking on the links in the top frame, opens the new page in that frame and not in the 'main' frame below it.  I suggest the HTML code may need looking at for compatibility with IE7.

Short term easy answer - download firefox and use that.  Its a far better browser in my not so humble opinion anyhow.

Thanks for the advice Pluggy. Think I'll just stick with what I've got and hope Doc will be able to sort it out!

Wendy, Pluggy is right about Firefox, it's free, dead easy and far better than IE6.  It's faster as well!  I've mailed Doc and asked him to have a shufti......

I do have firefox installed but never use it as I actually find it is slower. It has lots of great features though, we use it for development.

I confirm that  LTP does work in Firefox.

Firefox has a feature that IE will never have (This side of hell freezing over at least) - it works on all the operating systems I use in my work. Micro$oft abandoned their Mac version and they hate open source so there'll never be a Linux or BSD version.  IE is a one trick pony.

I've used FF since it before it was called Firefox.  It started life as Phoenix in 2002 (so named because it rose from the ashes of Netscape - the once dominant browser) They ran into copyright issues with that name and renamed to Firebird, shortly afterwards they ran into copyright with that as well and renamed it to Firefox in early 2004.

I had a query about the LTP this morning and in the course of replying looked at the download page. Everything was reloaded in 2007 when we went onto the new system but it was first put up in 2004. Since 2007 it has been downloaded over 280 times. Lovely! Just what I intended should happen.

Mrs Tiz downloaded a copy of the Project the other day and that prompted us to top up the OGFB money box with £20.

What a good woman! My direct debit goes in every three months so I am smug. Might be about time for a shout for subs, Doc is out of work and poorly....

Strange thing about the LTP is that the government agencies that sponsored it in the first place have never shown a bit of interest in it. That's why I spent three years digitising it. Since then it has attracted a national award and lots of praise. Still no reaction from English Heritage..... Was it something I said?

Not well. He's been keeping quiet but it's fairly well known now that he is waiting for a heart by-pass. Good prognosis but the the sooner the better.
