Well, this has been a challenge to me in almost every way possible.. couldn't get the picture to stay on the screen so printed it off.. very poor.. tried tweaking the light with my picture wizard and printing it off again, still very grainy and unclear print.. decided just ot hash on any way, inspired by all your comments I thought a bit of experimentation was needed, so lots of artistic licence and I decided to use pen, and water colour . The pen wasn't working properly, only marking when held directly vertically, still I 've started so I will finish thought I and hashed on with said pen, working in a very odd vertical way! Then the camera wasn't working when I went to take a pic everything was too out of focus.. so my daughter suggested I scan it in, that worked perfectly untill I came to send it, then the photo lord pronounced it too big.. so right now it is winging it's way to Stanley to be submitted...it isn't finished but I think I've had enough! I am all for a challenge every month but PLEASE could it be easier to put pics up? I post them on face book without a prob, send them in emails, it's only ever this site that flummoxes me, and I am so bad at asking for help, Stanley is always gracious in posting one for me, but it does put me off trying another pic.

Belle, Doc must have done something because there is an easier way now that does away with the initial submission page - or so it seems to me. To put an image in your post, click on the Insert/Edit image button (green tree symbol on 2nd line of the Quick Reply Box). When the dialog box opens you will see at the bottom the word `upload' with `Browse' alongside it. Click Browse and find your image file on your computer and then click `Open' and the file's address on your computer should show in the little window. Now click `Insert' at the bottom of the box and it will put your picture in ready for posting.
That's the basics. In the dialog box there is a second tab with more options but you don't usually need those unless, for instance, you need to change the displayed size of your picture. I hope all this makes sense!

You need a coffee Belle (don't spare the gin) My problem is a dark picture too....my fault because my printer is out of ink so had to crawl over to use Febby's computer/printer but by then was too stressed to pop photo paper in. So the pic I am painting from forms a grey/green gunge in parts. Still....what is wrong with grey/green gunge? Very acceptable!
I am sure your pic will be lovely, hen.

...there we are Maz, look back at my post - I accidentally hit the `post' button too early. You can't expect a scientist to get it right - now where did I put that new-fangled nuclear device I was playing with....

Sorry for my response Tizer. Somehow I came up with your screen before the edit? Thought you had dozed off mid sentence.

I followed the instruction Tiz but it still failed for me. Belle and maz I agree about printing the picture off. I tried 3 times and each time the detail did not seem to show even though it was on the screen . Nothing wrong with my printer though so it must be the intricacies of the photo. Hence my lack of detail under the bridge. I couldn't see it!
