I went up Letcliffe today in the sunshine with the birds singing and only a light breeze from the NW to spoil things so I decided you were right and it's probably about time we started to be optimistic.  However.....  have you seen the forecast for Easter?

We managed 11.2C today with a deluge of rain,  and hail tonight ,  rain all week, with another heavy fall due on Wednesday.  My bus was very late this morning because he got bogged, it resulted in no lunch break for me.   We can look forward to 13C tomorrow.  Oh well it is Winter.

There is no wind today here - feels too still - if that is possible, and the glass has dropped well down.

Just got back from Ripoin after an early start. It was sheeting down over there and the roads had a lot of standing water. Nolic

Went through a storm on our way to Blackburn to the hospital  this afternoon and could not see a thing - it was quite scary.

Glass has risen a bit but still not summer, the next low is on its way in this afternoon and Frank has a severe weather warning hanging over him in Aberdeen.

Just been for the newspaper, and it is starting to rain. I bet there is much hand wringing at the BBC. They haven't been able to say " it's been the hottest day on record " or some other such statement. They need something to happen soon with the weather, or the headline writers will need to invent something !!!!!.

Put my washing out hopefully - but just brought it in because it is raining.  It will stay in now I am not going to be in and out all day.

Some of you may have noticed that I have been online today at odd times.  I've been home nursing a sore arm, caused by picking up a too heavy shopping bag and turning at the same time.
I enjoyed my sleep-in, knowing how cold it was outside, and an afternoon nap while it was raining.  13.5C  today, 15C for Wednesday, back to 13C for Thursday.

I put the heat on for an hour this morning.....  House felt cold and damp.  Our 'sunny' morning has been at least 80% rain......

My arm has been much better today thanks, and I've been very careful with it,  I was able to get my pyjamas off this morning so I'm back at work.
We are in for 2 wild, stormy and cold days.  Brrr...  Thumbs-down

Paper today says were are in a European monsoon season and a month's rain has to fall today - sunny and warm at the moment!!!
It also says the long range forecast for the whole of the summer is more of the same - cloud,  wind and heavy rain and warns people in areas prone to flooding to keep checking the Environment sites.

Moh, it appears the forecast was for the South.  Not a bad day in Barlick and warmer but rain will reach us tonight and tomorrow.

Weather forecast says sun and rain later.  Sky says rain and rain later.  Only compensation is that as many parts of the world worry about water shortages we have no problem, plenty of water for all!
