I went up Letcliffe today in the sunshine with the birds singing and only a light breeze from the NW to spoil things so I decided you were right and it's probably about time we started to be optimistic. However..... have you seen the forecast for Easter?

3C again last night with 7C tonight and 12/13C for the weekend with showers. Got the grocery shopping out of the way today (instead of tomorrow), and felt good that I wouldn't be chancing getting wet, but now the weeds are beckoning me to get out there and get stuck in (thanks Marilyn and Stanley ... ha ha :) )

Well I managed to get the washing dry and it was quite a sunny afternoon.....Febby and I went for a long walk along the river. (I kept telling him to 'suck that tummy in and walk faster'). We went for another walk after tea, so earned a glass of wine....that is what it is all about isn't it? - cancelling the bad with the good... errr ...cancelling the good with the bad...errr...evening things up?

I'm working hard on evening up my busom, bum and belly. I think the bosom's winning 'cause I can't see anything else when I look down!

Good luck with your dilema Julie....(sounds like you need new scaffolding).
Hey...I'm in a bit of a tizz about this Qantas plane that developed a large hole and had to do an emergency landing. The picture of the plane was on the front page of the paper today. There are reports that the airline was aware the plane was extensively corroded. (But still they take our money off us and pack us in like sardines). All this does not help Maz's state of mind with a similar trip looming...

It had occurred to me that if I had not bottled stuff up when I was younger, got stuff off my chest, I might not be in this dilemma. Never mind.

Misty start in Barlick. I've opened the windows to let cool air circulate before the temperature starts to rise. On the downside, this is exactly the sort of weather that spawns thunder cells.

We've had sun, showers, a thunderclap and a few hailstones today ... go figure? 3C overnight , same for tonight with 14C for Monday. Set myself up in bed this afternoon (trying to get warm), with lap-top, book, newspaper, the puss, some other bits and pieces - Well, it is Sunday after all.

You did right Cathy. I had a warm day in the shed, a shower and change, a trip to the Co-op for ice cream and milk and I'm looking at an early tea..... Very warm and close, more tomorrow and then thunder.

Maz, ACAS has said that it is not corrosion, most likely cause is a faulty oxygen bottle exploding, thay have ordered Quantas to inspect all their bottles. Quantas is the safest airline in the world but never advertise the fact that they have never killed a passenger. Flying is generally safe, quantas is the safest. Stop worrying....
Another hot day looming in Barlick with an increased chance of local heavy thunder events. This is just the scenario for severe local events and if and when Barlick ever gets a repeat of the 1932 flood it will be a weather pattern like this which causes it. I've just listened to the weather forecast and there is no mention of the fact that there is an advisory warning of severe weather for much of the south and south west for later today. There is a big low coming in from the Atlantic and hevey localised rain is ecpected. Funny they haven't mentioned it.....
