I went up Letcliffe today in the sunshine with the birds singing and only a light breeze from the NW to spoil things so I decided you were right and it's probably about time we started to be optimistic. However..... have you seen the forecast for Easter?

Another nice day but we have had 3 days of NW wind, quite cool especially up on Latcliffe.

We've had low to mid teens for most of this week, with very cold winds. 15C for Friday, with some rain on the way. Might see more sun on Sunday. Brrrr ...

We had a good rain yesterday and today's forecast is for sun with isloted showers. We've had the sun and there is a shower threatening. West wind so we stand a chance of some warmer weather.

I've just had a look at the Jet Stream forecast. Our old fashioned weather system of SW winds bringing in a mixture of high pressure and Atlantic lows depends largely on the Jet Streem being to the North of the British Isles. At the moment it is further South and running directly over us and veering south. I wonder if thei explains all the cool northerly winds we have had of late and the reluctance of the weather to warm up. One thing is certain, it's still cool today in the middle of June......

We've had the showers but no sun yet. Washing is out on a maiden in case of futher showers as its quick to bring in. Nolic

We are supposed to be in summer!!! Put the heating on two nights ago for half an hour - I am fed up of the cold winds.

Hear hear Moh! I did the same thing the night before last. It's the longest day tomorrow and the nights will atart drawing in ready for winter and we haven't had a proper hot spell yet! Summer is noted by its absence. Nice and bright this morning but still chilly.
