As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

Don't mention Aussie Customs and attitudes to wood in my presence! Remember all the problems I hit with the packing case for Janet and Margaret's engines? It still sits in the bathroom and is now the SCG Memorial Toilet Roll store. The engines are still in the front room, Janet says she'll arrange transport.

In case you're wondering Conor, a different art form!

Stphen is looking better and better! Yup, all my engines are proper steam engines, put 200psi on them and they go like stink! Mind you, I'm not good on finish, I just want them to run properly. The one in the pic will drive a 15ft boat on calm water.

Commiserations Conor. It's the end of the world when you lose someone but if my experiance is anything to go by it all turns out OK in the end. All part of the great game of growing up. Mind you, I could have done without it at the time, I can still remember standing at that bus stop on the moor in the rain and feeling very miserable! Onwards and Upwards young man! Excelsior!!

i feel terrible for ending it, but i have so much i want to do. but its so hard as she has text me at least 30 times today breaking her heart, mum has been great taking my mind off of it all as she took me out shopping and i have kitted myself out with a new waredrobe and i am trying to look forward to the weekend of competition.

one weird thing happened while i was trying on some clothes today, a total stranger walked up to me and asked if i was a really good artist, i said well some say that and laughed and he said i thought it was you your conor farr and i love your art work!! haha i couldnt believe it, how weird is that, it made my day. then when i went into the bank and the bank has asked if they can do my business accounts in the future!! and they want some flyers of my art work to give out haha bizaar!!!

Success draws attention. I know it sounds negative but don't enter into any long term arrangements with anyone, no matter how attractive they look. There are sharks swimming out there in the pond! Do what you have been doing so far because it's working and preserve your independence. The time for big decisions is when you know exactly what you want and can dictate terms. At that point, if you need partners or agents you can initiate your own contacts. Think of the number of people who have said "It seemed like a good idea at the time". Sorry to sound negative but it makes sense.

As for the texts,  a very wise lady once told me that the most loving thing you can ever do is to leave go. Years later I am sure she was right.

Conor, I've been thinking about what Stanley said and it reminded me of the many  (many!!)  rock and roll bands that have been ripped off by managers and business deals etc., after many concerts and  records they end up with nothing.  Don't trust anyone from out of the blue, especially if they appear to  know everything and are very charismatic..  Think long and hard and study business ethics etc., before signing with anyone.  You could loose your own style and identity in the process if you just think of the money.
In fact, do you need to sign with anyone??  State your own terms.

not much success here, i came 15th out of 19 but it was under 20's so alot are bigger n stronger than me so its just made me want to work harder. the journey was a 7 hour nightmare on a coach but i had a brilliant time and i think ive made some life long friends, we had such a laugh.
anyway back to the drawing, while i was away our doctor has asked for me to do a drawing for her and they are also talking about me doing some art work for their new surgery thats being built. im looking forward to sorting out what they might want,
ive been working all day on ole Fry, i am pleased with it, ive finished all the clothes now just doing some more to his hair and i need to work on his lips some more, im not going to do an update today as i am hoping to finish tomorrow so i will post when its done

yes at English Schools Championships at gateshead (the one thats televised) ive got another this sunday but that is just the normal comps that i have to go to, mostly every weekend i compete somewhere or another this weekend its in Cheltnham

heres a photo of the finished drawing of Stephen Fry, its not a good photo as its raining here so was taken indoors, but ive made an appointment with another printer (trying out another company) as they have a drum scanner, so i am meeting them monday morning, but you'll get the idea from the photo i think for now
