New topic to make it easier to load. I had the last of the Colcanan I made two days ago. It lasted so long because I bought some small Cox's that were never going to tipen so, waste not want not, I pelled them, stewed them down a bit and after draining them popped them in with the colcanan. Bit more seasoning and it was nice....

I'm not interested in cooking today. Just hope the kitchen fairies come up with something (anything will do!) and have it nicely presented on plates by dinner time.

Beans on toast is always the answer Maz! I was thinking last night how deprived kids are these days at Christmas. Can any of you remember being given the Tturkey's leg after it had been cut off and making the claws move by pulling on the tendons? Or were my parents funny? Ready prepared fowl means the kids never get access to them.

Still don't feel the least bit interested in cooking, but have taken som chicken breasts from the freezer so will have to put the effort in.
Kitchen fairies managed some lovely Boiled Egg/Advocado/Red Salmon Sandwiches last night.

I am too good a cook. The fish pie was so nice I ate the lot on the grounds it perhaps wouldn't keep! If I tell the truth it was brilliant and I couldn't resist it. Very light so even though I felt guilty I didn't feel stuffed! Sausage egg and chips tonight.

We had hommade cheese and onion flan, jacket spuds, salad and a blueberry sponge cake filled with last years homemade blackberry and apple jam.
Went down well with the kids as they were famished after swimming.
