As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

Many young ladies are like that.... Glad the family is up to strength again. Don't feed it anything you wouldn't eat yourself. Cuts down on the vet bills!

Conor, nice to see you back. I'm sure Stanley will understand about his birthday as if you're anything like Dan you have so much going on in your life. Good luck with the diet - are you on a grant for your mum to pay for it all? Nolic

Conor, Comrade Nolic Thegn is quite right, I lost no sleep! I'm glad you're busy but worried about the diet they say you should be on. Sounds like Atkinson's to me! Be sure to shout at them if you notice any ill-effects, it's your body not their's! Love, S

Is the diet because of your sport Conor? Watch out for ill-effects as the others have warned. Extremes are *not* a good idea.

yes the diet is for explosive power, i am improving. i can now do a standing jump of 4ft 3, mum has already said if i feel bad in any way im to tell her, i am in safe hands so dont worry about me, my coach is very switched on and wont let anything happen to me, he has just won coach of the year for the south west of england and came 3rd in the uk. and i have to keep a diary of all exercise and all food, so nothing much gets past them thanks moh thats really kind of you to say, and im pleased you had a good un stanley, nolic knows you know LOL teenagers!!! and no, no grant, my parents said they need a re-morgage with me, whatever that means

Remember that Atkinson, the man who promoted the high protein diet dropped dead in the street from a heart attack! Now, I don't want to worry you but.......

it is frank, thats why i have been doing it, its part of my training programme, i need explosive power to throw. didnt amy do well in the winter olympics!, another gold for bath uni, she trains in the same room as me when shes not out on the practice run. she will be back on wednesday and uni are organising what they are going to do for her home coming as for the diet ive just ate pizza and a pint of milk LOL they said im not to be too stricked and i can eat pasta on the week nights that i go to the gym and i dont have to stop drinking milk just the amount that i was drinking, as i was drinking a minium of 4 pints a day and some days more and they said it was far too much, and to replace most of the milk with water, so please dont worry about me

Youg Conor! We will continue to worry about you whenever someone tells you to do something extreme. Glad you aren't being too strict with the diet, the body needs to have other capacities apart from 'explosive power'. Have a look in the Stanlet's View articles and read the one called 'The Western Disease'. I've done a lot of reading about lipid research and it's well worth looking at. Print a copy for your advisor and see what he says. I gave a copy to my doctor and he asked to borrow the book I had been reading 'Queen of fats' by Susan Allport. Whan he gave it back he said he had learned a lot because you can't keep abreat of all the latest research and the book is an overview of the whole history of research into fats, particularly long chain Omega-3.
