I hold a searchable database of the baptisms, marriages and burials at Ghyll church for the period 1587-1800 and a transcript upto 1875.
Please contact me for any searches you require.

..... as Im getting used to staying on line now till 4am ... Ken, is there any chance of you moving to Cork, Eire and recreating your database of information based purely on my family history? Think of the advantages ..... a wonderful start of a completely new adventure for you, and meanwhile I get to log on here most nights whilst you do my research! Go to Top of Page

Stevie: Any time you want some help just let me know, although you must be aware that I am extremely busy at the moment with pushing the sites theme tune to ensure a Christmas No. 1 hit, which reminds me, must dash, I see its down to No. 18.

Susan: A row of cottages in Salterforth is called Cragg Row (and nowhere near a cragg)

Dear Ken, I don't know wether you can help me or not but I am trying to trace the baptism and marriage for Sarah Banks, born in Gisburn in approx 1858. Also her marriage to Henry Charles Cook of London. They did live in Padiham after their marriage as most of their children were born there. These were my great grandparents.

Hi Ken, Do you know where I write to, to get a copy of the marriage certificate for Henry Cook and Sarah Banks. I have tried looking up the Skipton Registry Office on the web, but it tells me it was closed in 1947 and certificates will no longer be supplied.

Hi Ken

Don't know if you still use this site, been trawling through it and found an old post frommyourself about you having parish records for Ghyll Church.  My gt x 6 grandfather was George Eastwood b @ 1785, he married Nancy Bradley born around the same time 26/9/1806 at this church.  They were both from that area.  I was wondering if you could help me trace the ancestors of George Eastwood and Nancy Bradley from your records.

Heres hoping

Sue x
