Hi there, I found this website and forum, thought that it looked interesting, so I signed up. Once I have had a chance to explore, I am sure that I'll have a few things to say!
All the best for the New Year.
Regards StoneRoad

Just read the posts on this topic for the first time..is it an advertisement/company etc?
Hardly different from promotion of art classes or books...seems simply to be a link to items that some members might enjoy viewing..I don't see any breach of rules. Keep up the good work.

Lots of good quality interesting photos! I love the railway wagon, most of us only get to play with model ones. It would be good to have some background information about the work from StoneRoad posted on here to balance the promotion the web site is receiving for free.
Note for StoneRoad: None of the links on your site work with right clicking in my Firefox browser, why is that? I prefer to right click so I can open a linked page in a new tab but it won't let me do it. That makes the site less attractive to me.

Same here Tizer, I can't right click on the website neither. All you can do is go back out again. Shame really, but some nice pictures.

There used to be some steam wagons on display at the Varley's place at Gt Todber near Gisburn. Was it Tom Varley or his brother? I remember going to the steam rallies over there in the late 1960s and early 70s. Wonderful. Can still hear those traction engines and those fairground steam organs in my mind. Happy days!

Middle button in Firefox opens a URL in a new tab also Tiz, have you tried that?

Thanks for your comments. I have posted in one or two other places on here.
I'ld like to post details of what we get up to, when we are restoring things, but it would take up a lot of my time. I think that a picture paints a thousand words - if the content and caption are carefully chosen. I use the images website more as a news service, as it is easier to keep control of the updates, and we have worked on such a range of projects.
I am not at all expert in the workings of internet browsers, so I'm not sure what Tizer and Sunray10 are getting at.
Sunray, there are a few road steam fora, If you are interested I could post or PM you some links?
Hope this helps.

Can't right click to go back a page - as you can on most other websites and pages.

Well I learned something there! I didn't know you could open a new window like that. The middle button works in 64 bit as well which is a different version of Firefox.

I have the `Image Zoom' firefox extension installed and also use right click to operate this to allow me to enlarge images in web pages. Very useful with images that have good resolution.

Still off topic but middle button again on a tab in Firefox closes the tab. In effect it acts as a toggle button but without context menu's
