I like it Bob. Mr Goss is being very retstrained!  In other words, "Go back and read the files Dummy!" Some things never change. Funny to think that 1954 is half a century ago, seems like yesterday to me!

Difficult for him to hide. Has he got the cardboard cut-out up there with him?

Kempton ParkThis is the Kempton Park pumping station around 1985. One of the chimneys is having the cap stones removed. This was one of J Smith (Southern) last jobs before being taken over by Furse, Pete Harris was the main man on this job. The two chimneys look identical, but in fact, one is slightly smaller than the other. Built in this way, their refered to as a "King and Queen".
Heres one for any of you film buffs: What film were these chimneys, togather with their surrounding buildings, used in? Anyone know?

Well done Bob. It's still a important collectors item though. Talking about rare books, I found out that William Larkins also wrote another book, "The Life of a Steeplejack". has anyone come accross this?
