As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

"Question now is do I get the tattoo...."  -  Stanley

Nah, as Calluna said (quoting Walt Disney) on the Quote of the Day thread: "Observe the masses. Then do the opposite."

You don't need to establish your individuality, you do it in plenty of other ways, and even if you did a tattoo would be the wrong way to achieve it.

After following this thread for three years it has just dawned on me that Conty lives nearer to Bath than to Barlick!  I had just assumed he was a local lad - not that it matters of course.

I read about Stanley wondering whether to get a tattoo and then went to another subject, but then I thought 'What the heck'...
"Stanley, you've lived long enough to know exactly what type of tattoo you would like to have, besides if you regret it as many younger ones's do you won't have to regret it for very long".    Wink

some  of my mates are having tattoo's seems to be the trend. not that i want one, not at my age anyway, i think the only time i would have a tattoo is if i got to throw for England at an Olympic games then i would proudly have the Olympic rings.

like cathy says your old enough to make up your mind, my dad would like one but mum wont let him as he wants to have her name, so he still hasnt got one!!

Conor, still mulling over the best place to hang me knickers! I think I've made a decision, watch this space, could be an interesting kitchen!

mum got hers in the kitchen. i think she would prefer them in the bathroom but no one will see them in there as its only me and my brother that uses it  LOL

just had a photographer round to take some pics and had an interveiw for the newspaper. they rang me after seeing my artwork on one of my flyers. so they're working if they're getting noticed. money well spent i think

I've settled on the position. I'll post a pic when I've got round to it. Do you really mean to say that your mum doesn't use the bathroom?

haha that sounds bad but no she doesnt, only to check it to tell me and my brother to clean it!! LOL
and yes ive been working hard on my school work, ive been sculpting and ive been doing live drawing classes but although i am enjoying it its not anything like i imagined. i thought it would be all about reproducing the body in front of us but its not, its all art farty draw without looking at the model..and drawing with your eyes shut!! doesnt make any sence to me, why have a live model?

but they were raving about my drawings i done using my work as examples,' very pablo picasso' they said. i took the drawings home and my parents laughed and said what a load of rubbish. they said it looks like drawings i done when i was 2 years old. so im unsure what i am getting out of it to be honest, but im doing another class tonight so hopefully it will get better
