Wind seems to be coming from the NW - hope it stays out of the East.  Not as warm again today.

Our early morning sun is blinding at the moment (glad I catch the bus to work and don't drive) and our hills are covered in mist .  I managed 5 minutes of sun at this mornings tea-break, that was it...   rain tomorrow.

All thru the fields and meadows gay  ....  Enjoy

Chilly here as well but OK as long as you kept moving! Glass dropped back a bit but it's dry outside and not windy. A change coming I think. I hope it isn't to an east wind! They tend to stick in that quarter.

A nothingness day today - they keep telling us we are to have rain, but apart from a shower on Monday it has been dry.

Re-run of yesterday I think but warmer as what light wind there is is from the west. Glass holding up. Grass-cutting started at Letcliffe at 800 feet. Things could be worse!

Same report as yesterday, overcast, calm, warmer and glass trying to rise. Good walking weather.

Lovely day yesterday and clear skies at the moment in Barlick. I heard a report yesterday about the similarities between the present dry pattern and that in 1976 before we had the very hot summer. I wonder......

Later after a walk... lovely crisp sunny morning, a joy to be alive!

I hope - but long range forecast gives June as very wet, August to be best month.  There is a slight chill in the air this morning but it is lovely.  Lovely clear evening yesterday with an almost full moon.

Moh, bugger the long range forecast, we've seen them get it wrong before, another nice start to the day and it looks as though Easter could be good as well. Only fly in the ointment is the lack of rain of course.

Perfect Autumn Day here....sunny, 24 degrees. Some wind with it, but now (just after 4pm) the wind has died down completely and thick grey cloud is rolling in. Hopefully, that means rain.

Went for a walk after lunch. I was passing a house where there was one workman on the roof and another searching around in a big toolbox in the back of a van, which was parked on the street.
It was all in the timing, but I drew to within a couple of feet of the man searching the back of the van when he turned and yelled to his co-worker...
"WHERE DO YOU KEEP YOUR BITS?"
Then suddenly, seeing me so close, he turned a deep shade of red from his shirt collar upward, and very meekly added that he hadn't meant that comment for me.
It put a smile on both our faces...
