I went up Letcliffe today in the sunshine with the birds singing and only a light breeze from the NW to spoil things so I decided you were right and it's probably about time we started to be optimistic.  However.....  have you seen the forecast for Easter?

A Summers day of 33.7C today, with a northerly wind (our hot side).  Back to Spring tomorrow with showers and 19C.  Smile

Dusty today with that North Wind too Cathy...had to resort to the eye drops for relief from the irritation. This weather of ours seems to be as confused as I am. We had nowt but drizzle and rain in UK, then we come home to all this.

get your people to phone my people and we will do lunch...MAZ Go to Top of Page

Misty and cool to start here. Once the sun had burnt the old mist off it was lovely.

Chillier this morning, wind has shifted to west and glass has started to fall.  Looks like an Atlantic front on the way in.  Could be some cold rain on the way, proper back end weather.  (nearer to Heaven than Glo.....)

Lovely day, hasn't rained yet as predicted, reached 19C though.
Should be same temp tomorrow (with showers still trying to fall).

Lovely morning over here . Bright sunshine and warming up when we set off from Colne at 9.30 for Dukinfield for Dans rugby.

However, Manchester was covered in what appeared to be, from Bury, a dense smog but as we got on the M60 it was just very overcast and cloudy. Stayed that way until about mid day and then the sun broke through. Just driven back in bright sunshine all the way to find Cath sat out in the garden in shorts!!

Dans team won 47-15 and it looks like he's now captain. Nice bunch of lads from Dukky - very hospitable and friendly.  Nolic

We've just been told to batten down the hatches for tonight and early tomorrow morning due to 100K an hour winds.  After that we get 27C and 'a' shower for tomorrow.  Confused

Its a miserable day and despite 2 layers + jumper my hands are cold as I type so I'm now going to light the fire to keep me warm and "air" the whole house.
I'm feeling the cold  as I never used to - must be the reduction in natural insulation. Its definitely not age as I was told by someone I work with only this morning that 3 of my staff could't understand why I kept prattling on about retirement as they thought I was only in my late 40's. Just wait 'till Cath comes home!!  Nolic

Not you Comrade, the weather, although the loss of insulation will perhaps play a part.  Miserable cold wet day and if forecast is to be believed, worse to come for the rest of the week.  It's back end I'm afraid.  Temperature in front room deopped to 65F last night but I put a woolly on.  Bugger the gas bills!

The Aberdeen Mafia has suggested we go on to Winter 2008.  Sounds sensible to me with snow in Scotland......  Look for the other topic.
