As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

Tiz, snap! Conor, some of us never grow up and in my experience they are the nicest people to know, if possible avoid doing it! 'Grown up' is often shorthand for stopping looking and wondering why. Last thing to do is worry, just watch out for the straws floating past on the wind and grab them! Some of them will bite you but you'll never suffer from 'If only' syndrome.

Talking of Wallace & Grommit (as we were) I watched the last episode of the inventions series last night and saw that brilliant bloke who invented a `better electric motor' in his shed. He's now out to win the electric powered motor cycle TT in the Isle of Man.

When I was 21 I thought 27 was old - I remember a friend saying they had been married 16 years, I thought that was forever - where have the past almost 53 years gone? One thing I think about - my grandmas always looked old to me when they would only have been in their 50s - I wonder if my grandchildren and great grandchildren think I am very old at 72!! I don't feel it - roughly 45 I would say (if only!)

Moh, I'm not surprised that your Grandparents looked old 'back then', it was probably quite a restricted lifestyle - even tho they didn't know it.  Today we have a better diet, medications, fashions/colours, social life, careers, electronic communications etc.  Enjoy  'today'  and feel 45yrs old (or thereabouts) for many years to come.  I'm sure your grandkids think you are quite savvy.  :)

All thru the fields and meadows gay  ....  Enjoy

Cathy, our new `babyface' Prime Minister has made Botox obligatory for all grandparents so they don't frighten the children!

what job do you do swifty? as im not sure if you do stone carving or if thats a hobbie of yours.
haha oh now i dont know whos right 'for gods sake grow up' 'act your age' is another. then you grow up and everyone says 'dont grow up' and 'dont act your age'. you know being right in the middle is very confusing at times LOL
i had my great grandad in the park at 78 me and mum pushed him on a spinning disc untill he flew off, he still laughs about that now, he went flying and landed a few feet away, thinking about it now he was lucky he didnt hurt himself but he couldnt help himself laughing just wanting to join in, i guess he felt young until the next morning.

and i have purchased a new glass table (sold my drum kit so id have room) for drawing in my bedroom, hopefully i will work more if im sat looking at what needs to be done.

Ah, sold the drum kit and got a glass table! I think the Lad is developing! Conor, I'll leave it to Swifty to tell you what he does! Here's a clue:
