I went up Letcliffe today in the sunshine with the birds singing and only a light breeze from the NW to spoil things so I decided you were right and it's probably about time we started to be optimistic.  However.....  have you seen the forecast for Easter?

A lovely start to the day up here, just walked round for the papers and it's quite warm no coat required.

It's wet, wet, wet, and has been a f fr fre freeezing f f fourteen degrees today.  Our next few days will range from 17 - 22C, more rain and some sun.  I've gained a lot of extra sleep over this 3 day week-end, I'm sure it's because of the rain  and overcast skies.
Goodness knows what I would be like if I lived in England ... I'd probably sleep forever.

All thru the fields and meadows gay  ....  Enjoy

The advance weather forecast for today (Sunday) has been so bad what we have had time to prepare for it.
My neighbour rushed around yesterday getting all his grass mowed and I resigned myself to sitting by the telly with the heating on watching the Spanish Grand Prix with the rain battering on the windows. I'm still feeling a a bit post-flu, but if the forecast had been better, I would have risked taking a bike out for a spin in the country.
Even at 8 a.m. the forecast predicted that the morning sun was going to be broken up by heavy gusty showers.

As I sit at the computer, looking out the window at the late afternoon sun reflecting off the garden, which has stayed warm and dry all day, I ask myself.........has somebody else got my weather ?
WHY do I still fall for their bloody forecasts!

Just back from our eldest sons house, ( he is flitting on Wednesday ) hence the need for us to go over. The harr was rolling in off the North Sea as we drove back up to Aberdeen. It goes from 15 C down to 8C in about 2 miles, the change in temperature is really very very quick.

Keep looking at the weather forecast for Dartmoor our youngest son ( 28 ) is completing the Commando Tests for his Green Beret over the next two weeks. So not to Hot not to Cold and not to Wet is what we are looking for !!!!!!!!!!

In Barlick we have Malcom's syndrome, being on the top of the Pennines we get our own weather, they ought to have another forecast zone which is a strip following the spine of the north.  We had gentle light showers with sunny periods and it looks the same today.  Still slightly chilly but everything is growing.  (still watching me weeds!)

How things change, we all seem to be suffering through the same set back, our tulips and daffodils etc are full bloom, now we even have some snow possible this week.
