Other half might disagree with you there Vee, nice to have put a face to the name.

Moh, I thought you were sat behind us until she gave another name ----

Good to meet you again Mel, and your Mum.---You REALLY must got to Wycollar, it is lovely. In the 60/70's it was just a ruin. If I remember rightly it was put up for sale for not a lot of money. I remember going looking around when it was virtually uninhabited, it is so full of history, very "old historical novel". YOU WILL LOVE IT----BELIEVE ME.

I seem to remember the lady behind us was there last time Gloria. Wasn't she the one that was waiting for her neighbour (the gent sat with her) to arrive?

Mum and I said on the way home that we will visit Wycollar next time up.

I won't be at the next meeting, off to France. Roger and John were talking of a possible walk being arranged. To be discussed at next meeting. Said I'm all for it even though I won't be at the discussion.

What gets discussed at the Monday meetings? Have you ever been one Gloria? Or Moh?

Never been to one of those, they seem to get guest speakers on all sorts of things. They also organise the flower show, annual dinner, annual trip out, and maybe the Gala but I'm not sure about that.

I was interested in what Roger was saying about Greenwoods. Mother of imindoors has Greenwoods but they are from Haslingden in Cheshire. Back to early 1800's and no sign of them coming from Lancashire yet.

On one census I found Eccleston, Cheshire knowing full well it was Eccleston, Lancashire. Right family but the transcriber decided to move boundaries.

When I spoke to Roger the other night I asked why he had not mentioned the new site in his column in the Burnley Express - he said Mel said it was not quite complete - but he said he would mention it soon - obviously if people don't visit OGFB ( and why not??) they would not be aware of the site.

He never mentions it at the meetings. He was supposed to hand out some cards at the Society meeting but I don't know if he did that. As for it being not quite complete, it is I believe an ongoing thing,, the registers might get finished ( all credit to Mel), but the forum hopefully will keep adding/discussing.

To Mel and the wonderful job she is doing
