Guess where I am then add yours.
It is the 1960's I am looking at a roundabout, behind me is the local nightspot, to my right is the odeon cinema, across the roundabout is the "skyscraper", as it was likened to when built. Where am I and what is the name of the nightspot?

1960's/ 1970's Facing a club with a rudish name, looking over the club can see most of Nelson and parts of Colne and Pendleside. Nolic

This "where am I" should appeal to early computer users.
You are standing on a road, to your left there is a forest, you can hear the sound of running water, in the distance you can see a small cottage....
What do you want to do next?
Where am I?

I'm a small child sitting by a beck eating a picnic with my mother (so early 1960s).
There's a slab of stone serving as a small footbridge - my mother says it could be from Roman times. Green fields all around.
And the decaying skeleton of an old gypsy caravan.
Magic. But where am I? |

Forgot to say that my last post was a reply to Cally, the one I set was at the start of most of the early computer based adventure games.

Correct, Panny. Though we approached it by the cinder track alongside the henpens off Harper Street, near Federation Street (now Priory Way newbuild). Where am I now? Dirt track - deep ravine, magnificent multi-arched bridge (no trace of it at all these days - it's a load o'rubbish). |
