I am the grandaughter of William Royal (ref 48:1)who I grew up knowing as William Royal.
William was born to Honora Broughton (ref 48) at the age of 19. She had been in service since the age of 7 or 8 years of age. After Williams birth he was raised by an uncle (re 47 iv)Louis Broughton until Honroa met and married George Arthur Royal before emigrating to Canada. Willaim Broughton went by the name Broughton until that time. Once in Canada he went by the name William Royal.

The had 3 children:
1. Arthur Nelson Royal: goes by the name Ted Royal.Born 19 10 1922. Married to Mary Louise Smith 28 9 1948. Both still alive. They had 2 children.
i.) Laurie Ann born 21 3 1950(F) married to Douglas Glen Hilton 24 5 1969 they have 3 children
