I clicked it Bob Wink,i'd have done the work as well as the inspection for 2 quid..Are Rafferty's doing all the stacks in Manchester area now,hehe..

Stanley ,£122 seemed a lot for the date,if your conversion rate is about right its not a bad price..

Tom, it all depends what you base the conversion on. I always choose the one that relates to average wages which actually comes out quite low. One thing is certain, what jacks there were about then were competitive.

it must be xmas now stanley,,,,,, our job in blackpool is on shut down due to snow on the roofs,, health and safety wont let us on the roofs to strip slates ,,, so back at blackburn built a pad up to chimney and have droped it to underneath the bands approx 40 foot down was right up to her and at full reach all 90 foot ,,,,all the best to one and all ,,,Cheers

Thanks for that information Swifty, I'll use it to explain to Mrs Tiz why I can't go on the roof again like I did this morning and yesterday morning to get rid of snow that's leaking through into the loft!

By the way, just had another look at Lanc Sock Co stack, and the brick extension has indeed been removed, must admit it is a big improvement......

Did Mr Goggins remove it I wonder????
