I went up Letcliffe today in the sunshine with the birds singing and only a light breeze from the NW to spoil things so I decided you were right and it's probably about time we started to be optimistic.  However.....  have you seen the forecast for Easter?

It's sort of rained all night in Barlick, constant but no weight and all out of the East.  Neither one thing or the other.  Nice for the gardens but it's time this static weather system had a change and shifted about a bit.  The south is getting heavy rain and we are being held in a gloomy pocket which if anything is coming in from the east.  No signs of change......

Crikey!! The thunder cracked above our house this morning and woke both of us up with a start. We lost electric as well for a couple of seconds sending all the electric clocks into a frenzy of inaction. 12.00 pause 12.00 pause 12.00 etc. It was a super storm lighting up the skies, well worth getting up and watching, or just laying in bed and watching. Off now to reset the cooker....

Rain is getting heavier in Barlick but still coming in from the east which is generally the dry quarter.  Funny weather.......  I wonder if this means we are in for surprises this year?

Bit dull in Barlick but dry and warmer.  Gardens are loving it, you can see the plants growing!

Lovely morning in Barlick, 55F already and a clear blue sky.  Most encouraging sign is that the small amount of thin, high cloud is moving over from the West.  Hopefully this means we see the back of that thin East wind.

Very overcast up here today, and the trees are moving a little in the light wind
