I went up Letcliffe today in the sunshine with the birds singing and only a light breeze from the NW to spoil things so I decided you were right and it's probably about time we started to be optimistic.  However.....  have you seen the forecast for Easter?

very grey in Barlick, looks like rain.  Weekend could be marred by the east wind coming back and cooling us down......

Pleasant morning over here. Took Misty up Marsden Park early doors and had a good walk round. It is really pleasant up there and is well maintained by the council with few signs of anything untoward ( I was going to use the "v" word but thought that might tempt fate) She loved the new smells and the wooded area - no signs of any tree rats btw.
On the subject of rats I had to meet with one of my staff  yesterday and as , unlike the city areas, we are not blessed with hotels with foyers/free meeting places, we choose the Macdonalds on the M65. services at Darwen.
We sorted our business out at a quiet table near the window and were watched by a rat of about 8" in length - excluding tail - who seemed very at home in the surroundings. Pity I'd left Misty in the car or she would have really enjoyed some fresh meat.  Nolic

You're right about the rats Comrade.  The Mouse Lady has been dosing the manhole in my backyard now for a couple of months and as fast as she puts bait down they are taking it.  When you look at the amount of food lay about in the streets is it any wonder?

Warm night and a sunny morning in Barlick.  There could be a chance of rain later from the radar but I think BJ and I will have a nice walk.  I shan't leave it too late.....

20C today.  Blue skies, lots of clouds, but the sun was weak so no summer tops today.  Frown

Lovely day here but was listening to a chap discussing clouds on R4 this morning, we are in for rain within 48 hours he said. Planning some stuff to do when it is raining.

Sunny but chilly in Barlick.  No real sign of rain but it clouded over once or twice yesterday.  A shower would be good for the grass and the gardens.

Overcast in SW france. Rained most of yesterday. Last night saw the worst storm for some time. Thunder and lightening for about an hour, the lightening is spectacular out here though, with no street lights for miles, when it goes dark...it's very dark.

Not too cold in Barlick Comrade but then, definitely not warm!  Not a lot of signs of rain though.

A few spots of rain have been noted down here in the flat lands. It looks like there is more to come.

Best storm I ever saw was whilst in Minorca. Storm was over Northen Majorca and could be seen for miles with fork and blanket lightning giving a better display than fireworks. Later in the night it came to us and many of the apartments we were staying in were flooded - though not ours. Nolic

Gorgeous day today, 21C, almost tshirt weather, got a few things done outside.

One of the best storms I have ever seen was in Canberra (our capitol), which is set inbetween mountains.  It was the middle of the night and suddenly we had a 'skyshow', the reverbration from mountain to mountain was incredible and very very noisy.  The almost constant lightning made it like daylight.  Fantastic!!

Very, VERY strong winds today (the weather forecast thingy on the home page said winds of 12mph - it lied).

Those boaters foolhardy enough to sail today have provided much entertainment as they crashed and banged their way along the cut. Fortunately we escaped anything more than a hard nudge though the next but one boat has taken a couple of extremely nasty hits.

Although very windy, it's still quite warm though - T-shirt weather for us too (anything over 10C for us, Cathy - we're well 'ard in Barlick...)
