I've spent a happy fortnight watching some wonderful snooker. Like golf, it is one of the few sports where etiquette and good behaviour are an important component of the game. Wonderful. One thing though has been worrying me. During the obligatory prelude to the games there was one fleeting image that looks like a pair of white gloved hands carressing two incredibly fat, cellulite covered thighs! Will someone please put me out of misery, what was it!?

I forgot to mention how well Michaela referreed the match. Not a single slip up. First time a woman referee has done the World Championship. She is an asset to the game and a handsome woman....  Colour of tops she wore in order for the four sessions; white, red, black and blue for the last one. All right, I fancy her but who wouldn't? Mind you, I'll bet she is an authority figure in the home as well....

Looks like snooker has joined cricket in dubious practices. Does anyone believe John Higgins defence against the News of the World sting operation? I certainly don't. Sad really as this was the game in which players called fouls on themselves and seemed to have the highest standards.  I heard the top management of the sport has changed, and they are about to introduce a new version akin to 20/20 in cricket. They'll have to manage without me I think.  Looks like bowls is the only straight sport left?
PS - if the above link is some sort of advert -be advised it doesn't work.

Dave, it was suspect so I've deleted it. Can't do with litter on the site! Sorry Eve bit we like to keep things tidy don't be put-off, it's best for averyone in the end.

I agree about Higgins. I also think that the 'new face' of snooker with the entrance music and the strange hyped up compere is  a big mistake. Razamataz has noplace in the game, it's the quality of the snooker that counts.
