As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

I like it! I also like the fact you're experimenting and not getting locked into one skill. Good stuff!

my friend. ive drawn her before in fact shes the one that got me wanting to draw portraits in the first place. shes a very good looking girl. i used to sit next to her in science. her eyes are amazing. can you remember the drawing i done of her before? i think i posted it here. but i was about 13 or 14 from what i can remember. i'll see if i can find it. found it, this is Alice my best mate (not my girlfriend) Naomi's my girlfriend but she doesnt want me to draw her for some reason :(

i step forward 2 back..... yesterday was a terrible day. training was bad, i couldnt throw for toffee and in the gym i was weak, then the sculpture of gramp fell off my work bench (the wooden stand cracked and broke under the weight of the sculpture) and it was flat as a pancake. the only thing i could save was 1 of the ears.
so thats all i have done today making another as i need it for my art exam. its so frustrating, but i will add i didnt use another wooden stand!! this time ive used a metal one. another lesson learned.

Oh dear, sounds like a day you need to put behind you, I bet your second head turns out better than the first as it will give you an opportunity ro correct all the tiny things your subconcious will have spotted.

That's the way we learn Conor. The most important thing is that you accepted the reality, learned lessons and got stuck in again. Exactly the right attitude.

Is there no end to this young man's talents? (Sickening isn't it.....)
Good lad! Have you been watching Judd Trump in the snooker? Another young turk frightening the oldies to death!

ive decided to do the whole head and not just a mask, so i worked on it for 5 or 6 hours last night. ive just got to finish the hair and tidy up the shirt collar then it will be done, the end is in sight.
oh and i am waiting for an interview, i have done a bit of thinking... it didnt hurt, so dont worry hehe i have applied to do a foundation degree in Art and Design, full time but its only 3 days a week so that will leave me time to still do my own work. fingers crossed now i will get a place
