Yes, home at last. I never looked upon moving home as a life threatening experience, this one was. I overdid it and as a consequence developed the most serious dose of Bronchitis I have ever had. However, now on the mend and finally re-connected to the Net. e/mail address remains the same, phone number is changed. Thank you Heather for the message and your concern. Let me know when you are next at the Fosters and we will pop over. I have said this before "Barlick, no better place to come back to" I meant it then, and I mean it now.  HOO BLOODY RAY!

Phew - we were getting worried there, Peter. Glad to hear you're on the mend and settled back in your rightful place.

I believe The Foster's is due to close down in a couple of weeks' time, unfortunately.

I'm sure we can work out something else, though.Go to Top of Page

All you have to do now is unpack the boxes and remember where you put the stuff......  Glad you have got it behind you.

I dont know whats happening with the Fosters next, but I can tell you that Pubmaster e/mailed me 12 weeks ago asking if I was still interested having been offered it previously when Jim and Margaret were retiring.

Isn't it a shame what modern pub 'management' has done to the traditional pub.  Quite obvious that the problem is that they aren't allowing the managers to make enough money......  I often think as I walk through the Barlick streets with Jack on recycling day that from the number of cans outside the houses the supermarkets are throttling the pubs.  Not a pub man myself but it's a shame....
