Most of us have cameras' and most of these will be digital, a very useful tool. The one I use most is a Fuji Finepix, it is capable of delivering good results without overburdening the brain, for one thing I am not, is a photographer. Couple the results with a decent computer and program and all things are possible. Modern graphics interest me, and I find that working pictures is relaxing whilst at the same time exercising the grey matter. I would like this topic to be open to all, and await your input with eager anticipation. Also I would like it to be a place of learning, as in "how do I do this or that". Whatever the content I would also like it to be entertaining, non PC and friendly. So here is a bank canvas on which to demonstrate your digital artwork, have fun and enjoy.
The product of less than an hours effort.
A simple pic in under five minutes.
For the benefit of non locals there is a microlight club just down the road.

I suppose it should be Barlick Airfield, for that is what it is, a field. To the right are a few containers that house the microlight equipment.
The picture is a composite of five photos taken with a hand held Fuji Finepix and about 20% optical zoom and then reworked in Paint Shop Pro 8.1. there will be more versions of this one with a light hearted look at what may have been, what could have been, and "what if". The pics were taken from the bottom of the road just past Banks Hill.

Great photo Peter I can see my allotment from here. I have just purchased a Sony Cybershot DSC - HX9V which does Pamoramic shots automatically, the wonders of technology eh ! Keep them coming Peter. I have a few old shots that i want to play with, but rather busy with the allotment at the moment. They are of the Barlick railway station, and I have not seen them before, so they will be quite interesting for anybody local.

I do like a panorama. I don't have the auto panorama functionality in my camera. I took this from Portland, Dorset overlooking Chesil Beach. There are 6 images stitched together in Photoshop.

I have a panarama function on my little Fuji, but for it to be truly effective one needs a tripod, and some kind person nicked mine along with all the other stuff at Burnley, it was then in use in another capacity as base for a laser leveling unit. I certainly remember that beach as I slept on it quite often at night, it being too hot aboard ship.

I slept on it ( Chesil Beach) that is because I couldn't find my way back to Portland.
I also married the party who kept me warm !!!

Here's some very subtle "tweaks". The original has been desaturated, had the contrast increased and then the whole imaged softened.
