Glad your recovered Moh...I love coming in to the warmth of our stove which seems to stay in very well..when the goose lays the golden egg I want D to fit a stove that will do some cooking as well. Kill two birds with one stone..or cook two birds with one stove!

Jack and I were lucky yesterday, we got a walk in up to Letcliffe. No rain, just a howling gale. As soon as we got back at about 12:20 it came in a horrible shower, sheets of rain and hail bouncing off the roofs opposite and it never really got light again all afternoon.
Glass is like a yo-yo, it dropped to well below 28.4" but has now gone up to 28.6". Wind has dropped, it's not raining at the moment. So far so good!

Well just for the record ...I've got a cold , sore throat and a tickley cough....
When I went into Lidl this afternoon , my favourite lady (a man can dream ....and not necessarily about stoves, either ) at the "payfer" , asked me how I was...
After my usual "How long have you got ?" She said "Oh...but my 'ansome 'ave ee got a bitova cowd ? "
Me...."Yes and iD's far worse than it souDs...thank you very mudge"

Belle, me too. The Morso is £709 and is the one I fancy.
Brad, you probably infected her!
Jack and I had a bracing walk up to Letcliffe yesterday in blustery wind with snow flurries. Glass is rising and is on 29" this morning. Clear sky, dry flags and a hard frost. Looks dry but healthy at the moment.
Moh, would it be too much trouble for you to post your barometer readings as well? They are all calibrated differently but the variation day to day should be the same and would be interesting.

Will try and remember Stanley - not today though, it is downstairs, I am upstairs!!
We had about 2 inches of snow last night which came in about 15 mins. - has mostly gone now but it is very cold and the sky looks quite threatening.

Wintry here as well Moh yesterday. Bitter cold. No Letcliffe as there was ice on pavements even at noon.
Glass has fallen to 28.7" Light rain on a strong breeze outside, forecast is for heavier and continuous rain for most of the day. Deep Joy.
On a brighter note, 9 days to the shortest day and then they will start to lengthen, good, I don't like the dark walks in the mornings.

Quiet morning, no frost, flags dryish and glass fallen to 28.5. We didn't get the heavy rain forecast yesterday, managed a dry walk up Letcliffe. We are promised wind and rain again this afternoon and tonight. We shall see.....

Unless I missed it, no sign of excessive wind and rain last night in Barlick. No wind this morning but light rain. Glass has plunged to 27.9", lowest reading this winter. Something is brewing out there! Could we be in the eye of the depression?
