Lower Bradley Farm was originally bought by Mathew Pollard and Ann, his wife, late 18th century.

On Ann Pollard's death it passed to her grandson, Thomas Manley, in 1842. On Thomas Manley's death the estate passed to his children.

In the late 1870s/early 1880s the farm was tenented by Thomas Hillary. Following his death the property was demolished and the land sold in 1886 to the Gas Works Company.
