Marilyn-Wet on wet- You really have to use thick watercolourpaper, tube paint is slightly thicker, which i prefer, Wet the paper with a spongefor a large area say you were doing a small area check that a shine has then appeared and with a fully loaded brush with the paint not too thin ,then just put the tip of the brush into the wetness. The paint will float across on its own. Look at the tube and it will tell you about whether its granulated colour which are good for wet in wet, all tubes and pigments have their different ways of performance.Ultramarine is a good one for granulation, as an example. Keep your water clean , change after each colour you use.
Sue- Look out for these if you are in France- Louve Paints- I had some given to me they are in tubesand are excellent bright colours with good granulation . I have looked on e-bay but havent seen any here. . The ulramarine beats any ive used for granulation !

Bloody hell Flutts. I'd noticed you hadn't been on for a while - I just thought you'd moved on. Look after yourself and keep up the posts. Nolic

I havent been out on my own till yesterday went to Colne for a couple of hours, been to the local shops ,but first time on a bus. Its a mild stroke so im on medication and warfarin therapy .I shall have to listen to my body more now instead of ignoring signs. Not sure how it came about really? Noise from next door ,18 months of renovation ,working in aschool as a technican,menopause/? God knows?

I must get on and get some work done its coming up to a year since i had my stroke. I have been ok and back at work which is part -time, just do seem to be tired alot. But the medicationseems to be doing the trick . Only just felt like going back to my painting so havent done anything for over a year. But have got a new digital camera so i have no excuse now!

Flutters, If I knew I'd forgotten all about this. Strokes are always serious, the difference between 'mild' and 'serious' is that you survive the former. They tell me one of the best therapies is simply walking. Build it up on level ground and then start introducing hills. You will improve gradually and feel better. (You'll get some good pics as well to paint!)

I do walk around at work alot and work a full week now. I think your right Stan its best to keep going after a stroke. If i sit around all day just watching telly and being an invalid it wouldnt help me. Im off today walking around Burnley shopping.

Thanks Belle, I did have a funny experience this morning though. I was talking to my husband. I was thinking of things to ask him but all my words were coming out wrong. This was early morning , so i went back to bed for another hour. I was fine later on and have taken to sitting about a bit more today. Strange how your body and mind work.

a bit disconcerting too, i shouldn't wonder. In the last year or so I have had two or three experiences where I come out of a shop..and for a split second i can't get my bearings at all..I know where I am and where I am headed, but can't seem to orientate myself..it lasts only seconds but it is disconcerting!

Don't worry too much ladies.... It happens to all of us. I tell myself it's all part of growing older and having more information in our heads to deal with. Look at it this way, with all the information you hold in your heads it's a wonder you can even remember your names! Contributing to OG is probably the best brain exercise there is.

I have been to see the Doc today, she says i could have had a T. I, A. on Fri morning although very minor. The warfarin counterbalanced the effect. I had a bad headache on Sat night, probably due to swimming and having some belgian chocolate. Im trying to get some weight off before i gain anymore. Hopefully back at work tomorrow and back into my routine.Just as long as i can still find things to laugh at, cant think of anything funny thats happened here lately?
