Sky overcast and threatening and it is a dull old day. So dark inside the house, I cannot hoover as I cannot see the floor! (good enough excuse, I suppose) Had to put an extra layer of clothing on today.

Never mind you two, the days are lengthening! Only 172 days to Christmas!
Glass down at 28.9", low overcast and it has rained during the night. Good for gardens and I suppose we will have showers.

We had more rain Wed night than I thought. Butts Beck was discoloured and more water. We managed two dry walks yesterday but lots of heavy showers, some thundery in the afternoon. Glass at 28.7", brisk breeze out of the south and it's been a wet night. Gardens are loving it!

Glass at 28.7". Scattered cloud, looks like another showery day.

We had a thunderstorm with hail at about 7 o clock yesterday evening. The hailstones sliced holes through the leaves of my brassicas!

Thundered here last night...canooed home from the borders down the A1 yesterday, distracted by large flashes just out of my eyeline!

No danger in predicting a showery day today. Silverstone will be interesting! Glass trying to rise at 28.9".
Just back from a walk round the town, sunshine, spatters of rain and a rainbow in the west. Grass and trees are loving it!

Glass rising to 29.2" We seem to have escaped the thunder. Another showery day with sunny intervals? Gardens looking fine!
Sathy, you're colder than us now, get the Damart knickers out!

One clap of thunder at 07:00 yesterday but no rain with it. Plenty of showers, Valley Gardens at lunchtime instead of Letcliffe. Glass risen to 29.4" and high pressure on the way in for a couple of days from the Atlantic.
