As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

it went well, i enjoyed the last two days, 5 hour each day to make up the 10 hour exam, anyway i took a sneaky photograph of what i done, so you can see my drawing, what do you think? the focus is on the rain drop, and the rest of the drawing is supposed to be slightly out of focus
i will scan the drawing when i get it back as this isnt a good photograph

Very good - certainly different to the type of art we did for O levels (GCE)

its not my final GCSE work, thats next year. Moh what kind of work did you have to do then? i found that most of my class done modern art or cubisum. i was the only one that done a drawing.

thanks stanley, my art teacher must be pleased with it, as he asked mum what she thought today, he said he thought it was really good and he was all smiles... or was that nerves!!! LOL

If your art teacher has anyone else in the class with your skills he is a lucky man. I think he's trying not to be too enthusiastic in case he spoils you. I'll put a tenner on you passing. The outstanding thing for me is the water droplet, you could have zoomed in on that and made it the whole picture. Such interesting distortions. Nature showing us a different view of the world.

We had to do a still life (if I remember correctly it was a vase of flowers) a 'moving' painting (I did a gypsy camp), and a figure.

im sorry ive not been around again for a while. ive been working in a photography shop this week as work experience, and i really enjoyed it, i was spoilt by the women in the shop and they were so rude teasing me!! haha enjoyed working on the till and developing the photos and today i had a free photoshoot done of me, apart from aardman animations this was one of the best work experiences ive done. mad eh? youd of thought the pe teaching or the gym
would of been my favorite but it wasnt.  ive just recieved an email ive qualified through the first selections for the england rowing team that i was telling you about, january 10th im being tested by the sports scientists, now thats gonna be interesting!! LOL
hope your all well and dong well with yer christmas shopping, just remember the poor soles who sort out the christmas cards when you riffled through them and dont put them back in the right place!!! eerrgghh i spent hours sorting them back out!! baaaa hhuummmbuggg!! haha

That's a good report Connor. Good lad, you're doing all the right things and I have no doubt you'll find the right track ourely by chance, an opportunity will pop up, you'll take it and that will lead to the next break, the trick is to grab them when they come! Watch out for those ladies of uncertain age! They aren't pulling your leg, they are after your body!! Have you got your Mum's pressie yet?
