Whilst walking to Letcliffe park via the bridleway from Kelbrook road, behind ashcliffe house, I noticed some recent landfill activity, it looks like the gully that runs ajacent to the bridleway is being landfilled. Now i have always surmised that this gully was a natural drainage source from letcliffe park area. Does anyone know if there is anything planned for this area?

I don't know anything about it but I do know that Kings have been doing some muck-shifting down at Lower Park recently in connection with the marina extensions.  It looks like the same type of material, natural infill, nothing nasty.  There is a big drain runs down that gully, the remains of Hodge Lane, but no amount of landfill will stop water going downhill.  Not a lot of chance of Letcliffe flooding!

Cheers Stanley, I have been told since that it is the muck from the marina extension, and it is all clean stuff.....
