New topic intended for posting examples of all artwork.  Please post your pics here, even the ones that are in other topics.  It makes it easier for everyone to find the wonderful stuff you have already posted.

Nice one Bloks.  Not a criticism as it may just be the reproduction but your shadows look a bit strong. Try aliz. crimson, ultramarine and a small amount of burnt sienna . Its a purplish colour and is very transparent and applied thinly looks very realistic as like real shaadows you can see what's behind. Nolic

Cheers Nolic, thats the mix I use, its a fantastic shadow colour, and seems to take on any combination of background colours.
Mix could have been a bit strong (or might be the flash)!!

Good idea, Sue, wonder how expensive it is to have postcards made?

Its not too expensive, I have done a bit of research to have Xmas cards made from my paintings and found some that do cards as well.

Robin, look Chris Aspin up in the directory and give him a ring, he will be able to say useful things to you about your sketches.  The Helmshore Local Hist Soc might be interested in having an exhibition of your pics at one of their meetings and they do a lot of publishing.  Chris is a leading light......

Megan, you have told me your name before, sorry I forgot, you and Dad should open a gallery together, or get an exhibition together.

Rob, yesterday I took one of my recent paintings to the printers to be made into Christmas cards.  A really good quality A6 card ( A5 folded into two) with words and print style of my choice inside, plus envelope was 65p per card for over 100 and 85p per card for less that a 100. I thought you may be interested in the price. The Printers was at Hebden Bridge, and they were very obliging. I presume they would do postcards as well if you approached them . I can PM you the details if you wanted. They are not online but are very amenable on the phone There was a minimum order of 20. I would have thought that you could sell your pictures as post cards in local tourist and heritage centres.

The picture I chose was the one I asked for your help on naming a couple of weeks ago. I eventually settled on Winter Peace.

Sue
