Maz, I know the feeling, I once pointed at a string of large and obviously false pearls round a lady's neck and said something along the lines that if they were real they would be a miracle. Luckily we knew each other well and both burst out laughing simultaneously. (She was extremely well endowed in the chestal area!)

Light overcast but no signs of rain. Wonderful walking weather.

Just got back from a shirtsleeve walk round the town. Overcast has burned off and it's a lovely early spring morning.

Glass has gone down slightly, but it is another lovely day. Took a picnic to Glasson Dock yesterday, it was lovely but still a slight chill in the breeze.

Beautiful here as well. What a change from the dark cold days of winter! Lovely, makes you feel glad to be alive.

Same again today and set to continue. Next thing we'll hear is that the roads are jammed with traffic!

Weather on this side of the big pond has been wild.  With extreme conditions in the mid west and southern states producing over 250 tornados (45 deaths, millions in damages) and 300 more tornadoes expected over the next week or so.  In Canada the weather has been heavy snow, high winds and/or heavy rain.

Stanley can you arrange to keep the good weather around for at least a week or two, vacation starts this time next week with York and Whitby on the immediate horizon, before a week in Barlick and then onwards.?

Stanley I was just thinking that myself, it's been absolutely idyllic here the last few days, but probably made all the more welcome because last winter seemed the worst I have been through in terms of cold.

Yes Herb, we do hear about the tornadoes, we have our share of wild weather too, as most places do, but what amazes me is that people stay and re-build 'time and time again'.  I wouldn't, too heartbreaking for me.

They showed pics on TV last night of the snow in 2008 at this time. The forecast continues to be too good to be true but of course the killjoys have issued a 'smog warning' as if it will do any good. Why not keep stumm! Anyway, what they call smog is nothing like the real thing! My forecast for the next few days is news items about the drought and water supplies and traffic problems on the road. Neither of which will worry me in the slightest.

Bit of a mixture this good Friday with sun and rain, I think we reached 19C.  Cold by 1/2 4 so I put the heater on for the first time since last Winter.  Marilyn and Dave are up the river for Easter, apparently they are surrounded by an English family of about 40 (plus kids) having a family re-union... oh dear  Smile

They won't get the peace and quiet she was hoping for then.  Quite a fresh breeze today - glorious washing day, but I have done it all.
