One of the best self-portraits I have seen for a long time.....
Conty, beautiful result. Subject is great but your technique is wonderful. You should be facing a bright career if there is any justice.

This next one could be me in a couple more years Stanley,my latest effort,I think he looks a bit like Parker from the Thunderbirds, hehe,I've been struggling wiyh his hands today, just couldn't get them right so i decided to disguise them, the picture still kind of works..

Yes he does look like a rather sherry soaked Parker, lovely expression on his face, I don't think the hands are a problem to me it just looks like I can see his knuckle holding the strap...well done Tom!

Your not butting in Swifty, must be harder carving sunglasses onto a gargoyle to disguise the eyes,hehe...practice on an onion, carve the shape on the first layer, the eyelid on the second and so on,once heard someone mention this..

Tom I'm sure I worked with that chap in Mississippi mind you I was in a Power Station and he was Picking Cotton.
It really looks like one of the fellas sitting on the porch or the stoop depending on the part of the world your in.
