As there seems to be quite a bit of artistic talent around here, I thought I would start a pencil sketch section .....

I finally managed to get sound - that lovely Somerset burr - I guess that is how my gt. grandparents talked seeing as they came from Midsomer Norton, your part of the county.

True - his shy smile on camera reminded me of Princess Diane's.

Connor or the Tiger? It's very striking now it's finished, will it be going to the David Shepherd site you mentioned?

This looks to be the thread that contains the talent. I thought I'd share this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q4DRcbxelo

I was impressed at how talented my niece is and thought she deserved a bit of publicity. You can find more by searching Claire Hylands Speed Drawing on youtube

i enrolled yesterday at collage, i cant wait to start now as it looks like its going to be brilliant, fingers crossed it will be what i think.

And i have just heard i have won 1st prize at a worldwide Portrait competition. Didnt think i would of got anything as there was some brilliant peices so i am chuffed to bits to have won 1st prize.

They are dedicating a page to my work, they said it will take a week to be live on line so as soon as its up i will post a link.

Hope you have all had a good summer and holidays :)

belle, ive been holding on to the Tiger prints as i am waiting to hear back from a gallery and i am unsure how it works, just in case they want the full amount of ltd editions, but no i havent sent the finished drawing to David Sheperd yet, just waiting to see whats going to happen first

Conor, it's never boring to hear what you are doing. Bit like watching a comet passing through the site! Glad you are excited about college and that you're taking things steadily with the disposal of the drawings. There are sharks out there and also people with short attention spans. Nowt wrong with being leery.

I'm on holiday in the shed. Have a look at my sculpture in Shed Culture topic.
