New topic intended for posting examples of all artwork.  Please post your pics here, even the ones that are in other topics.  It makes it easier for everyone to find the wonderful stuff you have already posted.

Tizer, thanks for your patience I had tried all of the above methods except no3 so I will try that one next time. Tom , thanks for putting it up on the topic for me, I did try just copying the picture but it was having non of it! Stanley...mm firefox you say, might give that a go..anything has to be better than this "updated" version of windows...I have already got the idea that it won't be taken off, it's a fight to get it to use google, or face book (it's opposition in business!) little madam thinks i want only her!
Will go and have a gander at that Barnoldswick pic now...the one I fancy doing is "sheep over trawden?" (think that's what its called)
Oh and yes, blok, pastels...my favourite medium.

Belle, Tom is kinder than me - he's done it for you. I was taking the hard line of making you find out how to do it! As Stanley says, download Firefox, it's much better, but also as he says, don't try to delete your present Internet Explorer browser otherwise you will mess up Windows.

Tom, I assume you are using IE? But I now see it's possible in Firefox too except that the menu brought up by right clicking offers "Copy Image" and "Copy Image Location". You have to use the latter to get a copy of the URL for pasting. So really there are lots of ways of doing the same thing!

Bob bought me some acrylics. I had a bit of a doodle yesterday, and may try THE picture with acrylics. I am just reading all the info on textures etc

Whats the problem Sue ? Perspective, colour? I know  that it can be  very frustrating and makes me want to rip up what I've done already. Sometimes leaving things and then going back to them helps. Nolic

Sue, you are not defeated, just temporarily frustrated. Comrade Nolic is right, walk away from it for a day or so and take it by surprise one day.

Sue, have a glass of wine then it will all fall into place, I ripped one up at the weekend, I just couldn't get the sky right, the more I fiddled the worse it looked.

Is it the boathouse picture?

Yes it is the boathouse. I have ripped up 3 so far. Colour and perspective, but mainly because I am trying hard NOT to copy, instead trying to make an original out of the picture. I have tried with and without trees in the background. With a sunset and without. Subtle changes of coulour and allsorts. As you say , the more I mess the worse it gets. You see my strength seems to be to copy , my scientific training I think

Managed a start on a landscape in acrylics without any major upsets. Hopefully some more tomorrow.

Sue, try paining the shape around the boathouse, or using your left hand for the basic outline.
