Just back from the inspection walk round Barlick. Clouded over now and a fine, penetrating mizzle. Good for the complexion and plants but not summer!

We were still surrounded by mist at half past one this afternoon, most unusual for us, normally our views from our office windows show a hospital on one side and a shopping centre from another (both just across the roads), but not today. It was eerie and beautiful.
All thru the fields and meadows gay .... Enjoy Take Care...Cathy |

Scarborough had continuous rain most of the day (serves me right for what I said in a previous post I guess) Cleared up early evening though.

Managed Letcliffe without rain but plenty of showers in the afternoon. Glass 29.2" Raining as I write and I hope it clears up for the Valley Gardens Annual Event today. One thing is certain, there is enough flow in Butts Beck for the duck race! Met Office issue heat warnings for tomorrow, not much sign of it here!

Just got back after a really good soaking with Misty. She wonders what she's done to deserve it after she had a good shampoo and teeth clean yesterday!! Nolic

Jack doesn't like going out of the door in rain but once he's taken the plunge he ignores it. I have a very clean companion! Very warm and close this morning, 60F at 05:00 and light mizzle. 29.4" and heavy overcast. I suspect the heat warning may not apply to us today! Mind you, the cloud is breaking and there's enough blue sky to make a sailor a pair of trousers! One thing is certain, Plants are loving it!

Sun broke through yesterday. Bit watery at times but we hit 80F. Glass fallen slightly to 29.2" but still warm outside.
Just back from a lovely short sleeve walk round the town. Watery sun, heavy dew, no wind, a lovely morning but of course it could all change within 20 minutes. We'll see....

Can't complain here. Lovely, sunny winter's day. Got three loads of washing dry on the line and haven't needed to put the heater on this evening.

Cooler, fresher over here in Nelson. Spots of rain and hazy sunshine. Much nicer.

It's muggy beyond belief here, thunder is forecast (hence tommorrows lower temp) but as yet has not arrived..a few spots of rain late afternoon looked promising but came to nothing.

Looked very threatening last night but like Belle, nothing apart from the odd spot. This morming is cooler. very high cloud and sunny. Glass at 29.4 and rising. Despite the forecast it looks like another warm day. I noted on the forecast they were forecasting higher temperatures in the NW than the SW. It may be that the forecast is skewed towards the soft underbelly and we could well have another nice day. Took me vest off last night! That should bring the cooler weather back!
Later... Back from a nice walk sans vest! (don't worry kids, I had a tee shirt on.) Despite what the forecast tells us it's a lovely morning. Light westerly breeze, 65F and rising, full sun, heavy dew. In short, a perfect summer morning! Just tapped the glass, still rising. This could be as good as it gets!

Sunday was Glorious (maybe too hot ...no wind) Yesterday we had sea mist , then muggy with thunder and heavy showers. Today is lovely , plenty of sun , a bit of high white cloud and a breeze. Tomorrow light rain is forecast ....the day after , sun !
I wish someone would stop messing about with the switch......
