Still life would be fun to do by describing a compostion we could all set up in our homes, rather than copying a photo. What do you think?

Excellent idea Belle, we can all put our own individual spin on the project. Any ideas what we can do???

I like that idea, nice and open to interpretation . Perhaps we could alll suggest one object and work from that

That would be fine ,Sue, so we have a bowl and somthing like a vase etc to give height to the composition....
I suppose building up from those two objects we could leave it to the lndividual to think of the contents. Flowers etc for the vase, whatever comes to hand for the bowl contents. I think we need perhaps one more item to complement the other two objects then we may well have a project. Any ideas Belle??

Can't believe I forgot to buy peppers today, feeling a bit fluey these last two days and been operating in a dream so although I ended up going to three different supermarkets for the weekly shop, i seem to have only got part of it! Can I cheat with another veg and or fruit? Actually I am not sure I am up to painting any way, may just light the fire and curl up! Loved the web site Robin, and if I had the dosh Hebden bridge would be mine..it's a beautiful painting. I like your oils more than your water colours..oil is definitely your medium.

Glad you like the website, Belle, I must admit I have really taken a liking to oil paint, it is certainly more forgiving than watercolour....

Thought a dabble with the pastels might stave my flu off, but I really couldn't muster the strength to finish the white background properly, seemd like a good idea to pick black paper because of the jug, but feeling ill and being covered in pastel dust led to me abandoning the finishing touches..will I take this topic seriously? I did enjoy this much more than the previous topics, esp as I was not confined to peering at the PC screen whilst trying to paint on a tiny desk.
