Its along time since I put any art on here. Life has been very busy with my other interests and family stuff , not good family stuff I am afraid. Anyway a few weeks ago I went to my oil painting class and painted 3 poppies. I was so pleased with the result that I had a go by myself. So here it is...my first oil painting done by myself in my kitchen. no piant was spilt and the whole picture took little more than 30 minutes. i loved doing it. It was difficult photographing these what with reflection from the kitchen lights and the camera flash , but here goes
.... Sorry the insert screen does not allow me to select my folder on my computer. I will email it to Stanley

Thanks Stanley , and the comment Nolic. The original was better but was done in a class, even though i had no help. I think I like oils best of all. So free, and so forgiving . I did these poppies twice. I simply removed the original flowers with the sweep of a brush and then redid them.

Hello Sue - great to see you here again! Lovely picture, the poppies look marvellous on that dark background.

Loved the picture, Sue, nice to see you back.
There is a hint of traditional bargeware art in there....
