As there are a number of artists among our midst, I thought I would start a topic for watercolour painting.

More detail on the bridge, blocking the mill in and detailing on the stones in the foreground. Cheers Tom, time for a brew.....

A bit more detail on the mill and stonework, put a wash on the right hand banking. Now I am getting ready to paint the river and reflections, this is where it could all go horribly wrong. I think that the trees in the foreground can wait till last.

Funny how your painting has come to life now you've got some windows in the mill, the smallest details can make all the difference, still looking fantastic...aye Rob,get the Scotch open, forget the brew, you will care less and it wont go horribly wrong,hehe...

I agree with everything Tom has said and it was so fast! How long did it take in real time?

Stanley, I started about half one, and finished about eight last night, but broke off a few times, probably took about three and half hours all told..

Astounding. Indicates a sure touch and a good understanding of the process. Wonderful. (let's see, two pics a day at £80....... You need an agent!)
