The yard is awash with blossom, our evergreen clematis has gone berserk! But it's not the sun filled day promised by last nights weatherman, grey and a bit windy and cold.

Had a lovely week in our tin tent in Ravenglass in Cumbria - our pitch was overlooking fields full of sheep and lambs, they are a joy to watch. We were lucky with the weather but it was windy driving home yesterday. Today - dull and showery.

Ooh I wouldn't have towed a caravan yesterday, winds around 69mph not far from here.

Dry and bright now with a breeze but not the day they forecast.

It brightened in Barlick as well and by the afternoon we had 60F. Seems to be warm this morning as well and no rain. Glass steady at just above 29". One thing is certain, it's good weather for the time of year.

Same here Moh, threatened rain all day but never quite happened. Just a light growy shower at Letcliffe and yes, the wind was strong enough here to make it feel cooler. Looks like a re-run today but not bad for April!

It is a bitterly cold wind today and is raining quite hard at the moment.

Moh, same here, Letcliffe was declined and it rained most of the afternoon. At the moment we have heavy rain here and the prospect of more but we need it, March was too dry. The hopeful thing is that it's coming out of the SW, feels cold but that's the warm quarter. Far better than the cutting East winds we can get at this time of year. The grass has started growing, dust the lawnmowers down!

We said goodbye to an hour on Saturday night/Sunday morning.  Our mornings are now light and bright again, but very fresh, and where I live, quite breezy.  No turning of the leaves as yet, we still have flowers here and there.  Haven't had the heater on so far but I've been tempted a couple of times (will have to clean and close up the air-con vents first anyway :(  ).  Looking forward to winter here, and hope your sunny days come (and stay) soon.

All thru the fields and meadows gay  ....  Enjoy

I never look forward to winter!  Dull and chilly again - supposed to be a good day tomorrow - we shall see.

Yesterday wasn't too bad in the end, two dry walks and lots of sun in the afternoon. We are promised close to 10C today and the breeze is certainly warm outside. Glass rising nicely....  Things could be a lot worse!
