He'll be from Blackburn council,he's over all the demolition in the town and it all has to be approved by him,Simon would have put him straight,hehe....that stone string course could make good money, people pay daft amounts for them and use them as garden features etc....Not many books out there on the subject ,if its is out there it will on this forum somewhere in parts 1,2,3or 4,happy reading,or go to forums at the top of the page and find rare texts, there's some stuff in there as well..

was going to offer him £100.for string course. will only end up in crusher on next job if i dont get it you know what gaffers are like show some interest and you can double what you expected to pay , did allright on barnoldswick job though engine beds at £20 a ton made some nice troughs out of them .Some interesting photos on other pages didnt know about the chimney on deerplay top but should have put 2and 2 together seeing as there was a brick works up there i think youre mate pete dropped it.

Hi Tom, I just managed to get back on in time to clear up just where dad was on the picture Bob posted . It was not Bob's error but the Reporter newspaper who should have placed dad third from the left and not the right. Uncle John 2nd from the left.
It is good for us to think that no grace or blessing is truly ours till we are aware that God has blessed someone else through us.
I re--entered the site after months of purgatory and such was my joy in seeing my password accepted, I was overcome by a wave of religious fever and nostalgia from my distant past and my memories of those sunny mornings spent happily laddering those hallowed chimney stacks, hence my emotional lines above . I will have a coffee now in complentation. Cheers to you all. Expert more from me in the coming evenings.
Vic.
