Stanley, work has picked up since the begining of the year,dont if it was the reccession or just the normal winter slow down.
Great picture of the lady washing the clock face,did she clean the bottom half of the clock first then wait until 2.45 and jump on the hands and clean the top half,hehehe..

Yesterday, out of the blue, my Dad said to me "Do you know that during the war they employed lady steeplejacks because all the men were in the armed forces?" Has this been documented on OGFB or elsewhere? Is it true? Is my Dad pulling my leg? (It has been known.)

Its untrue Tizer,steeplejacking was a reserved occupation so many of them didnt have to go to war,although it was only the select few..

Bob you should get the postcard of Jimmy Gill for Steve Gill,it might be his grandad.
I was going to get the wife one of those mangles but i didnt want to spoil her with modern appliances,she's only just got used to whizzing it round her head on the good wuzzing stick i bought her for xmas,hehe..
