I have noticed that a number of people on the site like Stew and Hard. The Sun at Blacko still serves this, and is a very popular snack - especially when made and served by yours truly.

It's Japanese pop-culture, Stanley. Don't try to understand it :)

I'll ask some of my otaku friends about Pucca when I get a chance.

Hello folks,

I have just registered on this forum to say congratulations on being the one and only site which turns up on a Google search for "stew and hards".

I find it rather worrying that there was only one. I did expect Lancashire traditions to be better represented. Does this mean that Lancs is on the decline? I hope not, we don't want our 2nd best county to fade away.

No, Lancashire is alive and well.  It's simply that this site is populated by old farts and weirdos who actually remember these things.  Have you punched stew into the home page search engine?  There is another topic where we started experimanting with recipes and a lot more info on there.  (If that doesn't work, try oat cakes)

That sounds better than old fart or weirdo. I'll go with that!
